Over the years, we have had the privilege of working with companies of all sizes on projects ranging from infill developments to large subdivisions. Here are the highlights of some of those projects.
THE PROJECT
Gates of Elgin Mills
This subdivision is located within the Oak Ridges Moraine. The original low-density residential lands were subdivided and serviced to provide 59 single family lots. HUSSON coordinated with the Town and TRCA to ensure the property was developed in an environmentally responsible way.
THE SOLUTION
HUSSON prepared the servicing and stormwater management designs to meet the strict requirements of the Oak Ridges Moraine Conformity Plan. During the approval process, we discovered there was a potential to take an existing municipal sanitary pumping station off-line, by diverting flows through the new subdivision. Our engineers analyzed a variety of options to confirm capacity and determine the most feasible route for the sanitary sewer. Our final design allowed for the municipality to decommission the pumping station at a later date.
